At U.P. State Credit Union we care about your account’s security! When you enroll in our “Authenticate Me” program, an extra layer of protection is added to your account. Once you are enrolled, digital identity authentication through your cell phone will be required before each transaction. Give us a call or stop in to learn more about this program!
“Authenticate Me” replaces traditional identity verification methods. All you need is a smartphone that supports text messaging, internet browsing, mobile or Wi-Fi network connection, biometric authentication (a lock screen activated by using a code, facial recognition, or fingerprint), and one of the following cell phone browsers: Safari (iOS), Chrome, or Firefox. Please note that landline phones are not supported.
At the beginning of each interaction with the credit union, credit union staff will send an “Authenticate Me” code to the member. The member will recieve a text message with an authentication link. The member clicks the link and is prompted to authenticate through a passkey. Once verification is complete, the credit union staff will receive a message on their end verifying the authentication.
