Members Can Now Purchase Certificates of Deposit (CDs) Online! 

You can now purchase a Certificate of Deposit (CD) using home banking! If you don’t know what a CD is, you might not understand the hype. ⁠

A CD is an investment option that offers fixed interest rates and secure returns to grow your finances at a specific term. ⁠ CDs are an opportunity to protect and grow your wealth and build financial security!

Thanks to an update to our Home Banking system, you can now purchase CDs using online or mobile banking! Just pick a term that works for you, choose an account to transfer from, and add a beneficiary name. Your new account will start earning dividends right away, making your money work for you!

To purchase a CD using our online (web browser) banking follow these steps:

  • Login to the account you would like the CD to be associated with (if you have more than one account)
  • Click “New Accounts” on the menu at the top of the screen
  • Click “Open a Certificate”
  • Select the term that best fits your investing needs on the Certificate Rate Board
  • Click “More Info” (this will open a new tab) to view the Certificate of Deposit disclosure, then print or save the file for your records.
  • Return to your online banking tab
  • Click “Purchase” if you accept the disclosure and terms and wish to purchase the CD
  • Type in how much you would like to deposit, select which account the opening deposit will withdraw from, select a renewal or payout method, and add a beneficiary if you have a joint owner on your account.

To purchase a CD using our mobile (app) banking follow these steps:

  • Login to the account you would like the CD to be associated with (if you have more than one account)
  • Press “Accounts” on the menu at the bottom of the screen
  • Press the + Plus symbol below your profile picture, to the right of the green leaf
  • Press “Open a Certificate”
  • Select the term that best fits your investing needs on the Certificate Rate Board
  • Click “More Info” to view the Certificate of Deposit disclosure, then print or save the file for your records.
  • Return to the Certificate Rate Board
  • Select the term that best fits your investing needs on the Certificate Rate Board
  • Click “Purchase” if you accept the disclosure and terms and wish to purchase the CD
  • Type in how much you would like to deposit, select which account the opening deposit will withdraw from, select a renewal or payout method, and add a beneficiary if you have a joint owner on your account.
